If you could only put Peyton Manning's head on his body. Said the same thing about Jamarcus Russell.

I could see Jerry falling for a Cam Newton type based on last season. I think it would be a mistake, but what do I know.

Look at how many games the kid has started.

Now one would think that he has the physical ability...one could argue he might have one of the strongest QB arms in the draft but just needs to sit and learn the position.

Well...echo back Jones.... "If a player came in here and played behind him three or four years, he would come out with a Harvard degree in how to play quarterback in my mind. He would be that influential," Jones told the team's website. "And it would open up an area of how to play the game that we all would agree has a certain unique style to it: Romo."

To me this guy would have to be a LAAAAATE round guy but I imagine he will be drafted well before he should be.

However again...he has some good physical abilities.

What he does not have is good starting EXP so he is still young and one could make the argument he has plenty to learn but he is not so ingrained, due to lack of college starts, that he could not be taught.

Just something to think about...we are not talking about a four year starter here. This guy is the definition of a project.

Unless they are going to install designed QB runs and option concepts into the regular offense, they would be patently stupid. Trying to copy Newton is a futile exercise. It is the offensive scheme he is in as well.

Wait, didn't we already do this with Quincy Carter? This can't possibly be true.

Why Quincy Carter, considering all the other failures at Qbs in between Aikman and Romo it is arguable that Carter was the best one. Comparing playoff success he was just as successful as Romo.

The Carter thing surrounds the fact that he was our stab at getting our own flavor of the moment QB clone of McNabb.

I rather take Jacoby Brissett, just as much upside, a more humble personality, and with those kind of attributes and the opportunity to receive a Harvard like education over the next 3-4 years that could pay huge dividends.
