I wouldn't say cursed. This is what happens when you throw hail mary's from a front-office perspective. The team's strategy for improving guard play this season was hoping to lure a 36 year older player out of retirement who hadn't played in 18 months and rely on another guard who's career could end at any moment who is fighting nagging injuries with his knees.

Players getting injured in the NFL? Not that surprising...do not make this out to be a bad move because he is old and was destined to get hurt. He was playing NE pro bowl level for us.

I don't see any surprise, just disappointment. Why would anyone be surprised by an injury in football?
