By moving up three spots in the draft the Cowboys now have a more legitimate chance to draft Marcus McNeil of Auburn.

Remember this name. He will hopefully be a Cowboy for the next decade. He has the size and feet to be a LT, but can also play RT. He would be an instant starter at RT and could be the first option at LT if Flozell is hurt, a huge problem this year. My main concern is he could go higher with a big performance at the combine.

This game doesn't sit well with me right now but in the long run if McNeil becomes a Cowboy it's for the best.

Just get one of these tackles, there are so many 1st round caliber guys you are almost gauranteed at a chance at one.

it's tough to think about the draft right now after a LOOONNGG day for the Cowboys but I can see your point.

If McNeil is as good as you say I guess losing could be a blessing in disguise. Anyone else know anything about this guy from Auburn?

I don't get it, how many OT drafted last few years have become a pro-bowl type tackles? Seems like Orlando Pace was the last one to be a good one maybe? A real all-pro type that is.

Jordon Goss, Gallery, aren't LTs of their teams even in their 2nd and 3rd year respectively. Many fans here bash Flozell, including me sometimes, but really, he has been better than many 1st Rounders recently.

this last game really sold me on a new RT. Pettiti wasn't making mistakes, he was, once again, just flat out getting beaten nearly every play. He's going to have to lose weight and quicken his feet if he wants to stay in the league. Right now, he can't handle guys with speed.

since we're talking draft, i was thoroughly unimpressed with DBrickshaw Ferguson. I hope he is the first OL taken so it'll be before us. First off, he's 290, which is WAY too light to play T in the NFL. Second of all, he didn't play all that hard IMO. He relied on his overwhelming wingspan to keep guys away. Maybe he'll be good maybe not, but I didn't get the impression that I would want to use our first on him.

Top choice should go toward a skills player, for example WR or QB. Great linemen can be had in later rounds.

Top choice should be used to fix any holes left after we figure out who is coming and going after free agency starts.

You can move up with the 18th pick and Ellis to get DT Ngata or stay there and get ILB Ahmad Brooks and draft RT Daryn Colledge who should be a 1st rounder, but because of other teams needs, he'll go in the 2.

I don't think that there are any tackles that are sure to be stars at the next level. Micheal Huff, LaRon Landry, and Ko Simpson will all be top free safties at the next level. There are a lot of studs at the linebacker position as well, but you can still get linebackers with a lot of upside in rounds 2 and 3.

Thus I think we ought to take a top safety in the first round.

I like FS Anthony Smith in the 2nd or 3rd. I like a tackle in the second and either DT Ngata (is an absolute wall, you can't run up the middle or nowhere with this monster) or ILB Ahmad Brooks 6'3 260 (fast and an absolute demon at ILB, will destroy backs all over the field and can get after the QB as an OLB when it's time to get after the QB)
