Might be a better fit for him, although I wouldn't expect him to suddenly become a game changer. In fact, if he ends up starting, it might say quite a bit about the condition of their defense.

They actually do need him. Beason is nursing a bum knee and can't stay on the field. They have no depth at all.

What is the cap change for Dallas? Is there an offset consideration?

We do this as well as anyone, so you can't blame them. You know there are things he can tell them that will help. It's a risk you always take when cutting guys.

Telling them is one thing, having the personal to do so against the Cowboys is another. Giants OL and their average defense needs more help than what he can offer.

Is he going to tell the secrets of the Cowboys defense?

"Yeah...they're going to run cover 2 man, cover 3 press, and the front will run stunt games."

It isn't like there is esoteric knowledge to our defensive scheme lol.
I'd be more worried about what he'll say about our offense...

But even then it's just "mostly zone blocking, the OL is good, Jason Witten is white and nobody can cover Dez."

The Giants probably know as much about Dallas as any FA would anyways.

If he knew the game plan and play sheet for the game, I would be more worried. This, not so much.

I think the Cowboys decided on cutting him a few weeks ago. So, I doubt he heard anything specific or they let him in on any game planning for the Giants.

Also, I'm sure the Cowboys know specifically all of the areas Brinkley was weak in.

If Brinkley does see action in game 1, I think that would be a net advantage for the Cowboys. Other than motivation against a team that cut him, I don't think he brings much to the table. And it wasn't like the Giants jumped all over him when he was cut.

Is that three players the Giants signed from Dallas this offseason?

Is their rookie LT starting?.........the one Randy G schooled a few months ago in college?..........don't think he can tell him anything he doesn't already know, except he has gotten bigger, faster, with more moves. If Eli is listening he's gonna just moan.
