Well... They do suck.

Problem is, we suck too. So even beating the Raiders means some kind of progress.

 

[Verdict]

I’m not trying to be a homer here but we should beat the brakes off of the Raiders. Bowers may get two TDs, but otherwise this game should get out of reach for the Raiders fairly quickly.

Bowers is about all the Raiders have on offense. Yeah I know our defense has sucked badly, but changing multiple players on defense (at least 4) should make a HUGE difference in this defense.

Our front 7 should be MUCH stouter. We should stop the run and make the Raiders one dimensional. Adding Revel (first round talent) over a guy with street free agent talent should make a ton of difference, especially if Bland kicks back down to guard the slot receiver.

I’m looking for a blowout this week. After that —-we will see.

- the Cowboys have nobody who can cover Bowers whatsoever. This is a huge matchup problem despite getting Hooker back.

- cowboy secondary is a huge problem

- not sure what to expect from overshown or revel

- he thought the Cowboys should have got Quinn Williams brother from the Jets as well who he considers a better linebacker than the guy we got back from Cincinnati. And he was available.

-Thinks we’ll see a better version of Kenny Clark now because of Williams.

- doesn’t think we can make a playoff run finishing four and four would be an accomplishment.
( the guys on the panel think we can make a run they didn’t agree with him completely)

- says Joe Brady and Mike McCarthy both won’tthe New York Giants job called it highly desirable with Nabors coming back dart and Skattebo

- says franchise tagging Pickens might be insulting and his agent will not be happy about that, and it might create some bad relations . Then he said I know some of the guys from the team listen and I highly advised him to start making cap room get rid of a lot of guys here and offer Pickens a contract.
He also said I don’t think they want to go 33 million to both wide receivers.

- says they’ll need to upset the Chiefs and Eagles to make it a season.

Crosby did affect a few plays but wasn't unblockable. And in many ways we did to him what teams did to Parsons when he was here. We just ran away from him or let him get upfield past the QB and have the QB step up.

Bowers had 7 catches but nothing was a big deal.

THe secondary played pretty well last night. Kept people in front of them. Tackled well. I am really excited for Revel. Williams is a load in the middle. How long have we been asking for the Cowboys to get a player like that in the middle?

I don't have much hope for this season, but I do think there are some outstanding building blocks that a couple solid draft picks and a little free agency investment could make this a team that can compete next year.
