ULM-WF was a close game throughout.
Boise/Ole Miss was close until the 4th quarter. It was 7-6 at one point mid 3rd.

TAMU/Cocks was just good talent on the field and fun to watch. There were more guys playing who'll make 53 man NFL rosters than in the DAL/DEN game.

Those are the 3 I watched.

This off season, the first unit has scored a total of 13 points. I'm not really surprised when the lower team players become involved.

Actually, it was when our primo starters were having some problems that it bothered me most. To be fair, though, they need time to fully adjust to one another and that's no big deal. It shouldn't take too long for them to jell. They're way too talented to go very long without looking very capable. Mostly, it's the DL that really makes me squirm in my chair but that was totally expected.

Randle is a more complete back than Williams, which includes blitz pickup. When Williams wiffs on a block and Room gets killed, people will sing a different tune. Williams is a better pure running back but that's where it stops. I need to keep all 4 running backs and no fullbacks.

I would really like to keep 4 RBs, no FB, and 6 WRs. Byrd should make the team. I don't care about numbers. Some of these bottom defensive guys shouldn't even be given a spot. No way I am cutting Byrd for one of them. You have to think two years down the road.

And Williams should definitely make the team.

Broaddus lost me when he said he had Wetzel making the team. I had him since day 1 as a PS guy.

He said it was more what he'd shown early on combined with Weems not being able to practice or play.
