As long as he gets on the field soon....
I posted exactly what you said when we drafted him and got blasted. He was OK last year, but nothing special.
I sure don't see him as as being close to the talent level as Primetime, who they compared him to when they drafted him. I don't see him as being near the level of his college teammate P. Peterson. He may become a solid CB, but he is not showing the star potential that surrounded him on draft day. I expected a little more considering what the team gave up for him.
Whoever said he was the best CB they'd evaluated since Deion was smoking crack. But he's a heck of a good player and had a good rookie season for us.

Broaddus is not always right. Claiborne had a great year last year for a rookie and hasn't missed a regular game yet this year. So what he got dinged up in training camp. That guy is clown.
This is the installation period for the new defense. Concern would be normal. It's not okay to miss large portions of camp. It's always a set back. If it wasn't, there'd be no point in conducting a training camp.
I watched him play many games when he was at LSU and his play never matched the hype. I don't see the bargain that others saw when the trade went down. It was a draft that offered much better value at the oline positions than this last draft.
Mo will be ready for sept 8 though. IMO.

Which is why I don't understand the overblown hype his comment is getting. This is Broaddus trying to generate something to talk about, IMO
Didn't that actually come out the Cowboys front-office? Based on their evaluation of the guy they thought he was the best CB prospect since Deion Sanders going back to 1989.
Edit -- I found the quote here:
Jones said. "But certainly he is the best they have graded for us since Deion. That would have included Deion after he came in here. Deion had the highest touchdown-per-touch of any player in NFL history."
I actually like Broaddus and respect his background that he brings to the table, but this kind of double talk really bothers me. By writing this, he is in fact calling out Claiborne.
Having said that, this is a big year for Mo. His average rookie year was underwhelming but I wouldn't say I'm worried. Perhaps the Rob Ryan system was too much for a rookie CB. But I expect to see him make strides this year to develop into a star. But him missing time right now while isn't ideal his hardly bothersome nor worrisome.
