Add Costa's release and we're awfully thin in the trenches. Wonder what their backup plan would be? Draft? Asamoah?

Hello. I could easily see an O L in the first if a blue chipper falls and yes I am aware of the ten other holes.

Sign a vet at some point for cheap and take the right prospect in the 3rd or 4th and we''ll be fine for o line.

We will be fine. Costa can be replaced, or he can be brought back at a lower cost. It's not the end of the football world. He hasn't brought us a SB has he?

Still think we would be best served if Waters returned as an assistant coach.

I think we got our money worth with waters physically and with his game knowledge. We might as well keep the line young now

I loved Brian Waters. Dude was a tank.

I wouldn't peg in Berny as starting RG until AFTER the draft.

IF we don't go defense Berny could be out of a starting job.

Maybe their plan is to release so many players so we have needs at every position. Nobody then can acuse us for drafting for need and not the BPA.

Just brilliant old boy.

But isn't that sort of what we've done the last couple of years?

Injuries, turnover, refusal to play..

many holes and no plugs if you ask me.

Brian Waters served his purpose well while he lasted but aging catches up with even the likes of him. I'm hoping the Cowboys will commit themselves now and in the future to young players who may well have an opportunity to serve them for a decade or so. It isn't prudent for any team to keep insisting on pushing their luck on older vets rather than developing young, quality players. Even if we decided to draft a guard to replace Bernie, he could still provide good depth, which is something we currently lack at that position.

Pretty sure his gut is gonna feel different after camp. Waters will be back for another season, he can still play at a very high level. Just, as always, trying to avoid camp.

As well he should be, and as well they should move on. The line played great down the stretch. I think we're in for a treat with the offensive line this year.

This offensive line is under 30 years old across the board for the first time since...like 1995.

great down the stretch? Don't know what team you were watching but it was not Dallas.

Hardly a surprise. Why people keep counting on him returning is beyond me.

The line did play well down the stretch, especially running the football. It was just hard to tell since Garrett is pathologically adverse to it.
