Short yardage back. I don't see him having a huge impact over what we have already. Insurance once Mcfadden or Randle go down. I like it a lot more than paying murray 8mil per.

I worry about Randle being another Hambrick. Looked good in relief last year. Looked terrible when he started in 2013. Maybe thats not the case, but it's a concern of mine as far as him having a heavy workload.

I think he might eventually become the starting or featured back this year. MacFadden and Randle are the same type of backs. They go down too easily and aren't the type of backs you want grinding for extra yardages during the waning moments of a game. CMike is more talented than Randle and would be a compliment MacFadden. Insurance he may be. But has more potential to be starter than the other backs we got so far.
Did you watch Randle last year? He didn't go down all that easily.
As far as Broadus' comments, I'm not sure what he means by saying Michael looking like he runs on rails is the opposite to McFadden. That's exactly what I see with Darren.

Randle is a shifty runner that is elusive enough to not get hit directly. Most people here tend to mistaken that for breaking tackles. However, I saw enough of him getting hit behind the LOS that his not the type to break tackles. Shifty and elusive yes - but not a tackle breaker and grinder.
It's certainly a concern, but 2013 Randle and 2014 Randle didn't look remotely similar from the first carry of preseason. He was bigger, faster and better.
He led the league in average yards after contact. He can be tackled in the backfield, but he can break tackles on the second level.
My biggest concern with out current guys is that they aren't grinders. I like having this kind of player.
The question now is who dresses....until someone gets injured.
There's a lot to like about Randle's game. If he were less of a knucklehead, Christine Michael wouldn't be a Dallas Cowboy.
