Broaddus trade rumor probably false

Mods: If you feel the overwhelming desire to merge this, people put something in the OP/Title that indicates that Broaddus probably didn't really say that another team contacted the Cowboys about a trade unless there has been some more confirmation somewhere that Broaddus actually did say it.

Broaddus normally just repeats on the Fan the same things he says at DC.com. He said on The Break that he was talking to a team "this morning" that was looking for CBs. Broaddus suggested to them to look at the Cowboys for a CB.

He did not say that the other team contacted the Cowboys. He didn't even say that the other team was interested in the Cowboys players. It was Broaddus that suggested to the the other team that the Cowboys might have some extra CBs.

Yeah, it was always what he would look into, not that the Cowboys were talking to anyone. I don't think there was ever a chance Patmon would be put on the block.

No I didn't . I listened to both talking Cowboys and it was different than what he said on the fan. He said a prominent team contacted them(the Cowboys) and specifically asks about Claiborne and Patmon and mentioned that they were monitoring those two specific players. Maybe it's avaliable on the podcast.

Broaddus made the comments in the link I posted the same day that you said he made the comments on The Fan.

It seems that somebody exaggerated the initial story. That somebody had to be either Broaddus or you.

What is the chance that a team contacted the Cowboys about the exact same subject and same players that he referenced in the video within just a few hours of his original comments?
