wagner was runner up for DROY award last year.

decastro is a lock for the pro bowl this year.

we can debate on jenkins but i can at least appreciate the aggressiveness he plays with. i've seen nothing but passive soft play from claiborne in 2 years.

Good for him. I still take Claiborne over him for what this team needed. It also helps that Wagner is surrounded by very good players on the defense.

As for DeCastro, he or most players at this point aren't a lock for anything.

Due to name? What name? This is his first year playing pretty much as he only had a couple games last year. There are certainly bigger OG names than David DeCastro. There are a number of very good OGs out there. Grubbs, Mathis, Levitre, Mankins, Yanda.

PFF has him as their #3 OG. He's had positive grades in 5 of 7 games, 1 negative grade of -0.2 and one 0.0 grade.

They also have him with the 4th highest run block grade for OGs.

He must be the only guy playing well on a 1 or 2 win team that can't run the ball, can't pass the ball, and is getting beaten every week.

Sorry the kid might be good but he doesnt appear to be doing to much to help that team. Of course if he's the only good player on the team then I guess that might be his problem.

The guy with the Dez point in tweets had the right gist.
It takes time for these guys to hit stride as often as not.

Mo was much better the last couple weeks before getting injured again.
To call him a bust is as silly as it premature.
He is a good cover guy who has really struggled with the physical demands of the position.
He needs another 10 pounds of muscle.
But you put him on that kid (Not CJ) at the end of the Lions game and I doubt that play gets made.
He has been covering well since he had the giftwrap INT in Denver to build his confidence.

The Broaddus tweet is scary because he talks about make up and approach and those are things the scouting staff should ferret out pre-draft.
Especially when you have an ex-coach as the head man there.

DeCastro was bad last year in pre-season and showed some improvement before injury.
He was bad in week 2 or 3 when I saw him play. But apparently has been grand since.
Not sure but I do know his selection hasn't helped Pittsburgh improve.
They've been passing and running for lessening yardage since he was drafted.
He is a very nice have. But I doubt he was better than Brian Waters whom we got off the street for 3m.

End of the day whatever Dallas adds means a hole somewhere else.
They need about 5 more healthy bodies not 1 or 2.

another average player on a average team full of them looks like picks like Jenkins jones and other first round busts

Its was too early to call him a bust. He hasnt lived up to expectations to say the least.
Im sure there are plenty of zoners who will love to expand on how much he sucks. Then how much the team sucks. lol

NP..stepping in and calling out the MO....he is a and has been a wasted pick, Just look at the laundry list of injuries this kid claim's he has had in the last two years, a knee, Migraines, a Wrist, a Shoulder, now a Hamstring....probably missed a couple of injuries someplace but I am sure he will come down with something new soon.

Don't even need to talk about his game.

I just get the weird feeling that it's the Cowboys atmosphere and not Claiborne. He goes elsewhere and he probably does much better like so many other guys who have failed here, but did serviceable to great on other teams.

I dont think anyone wants Claiborne to be bad, but the fact of the matter is that he doesnt look very athletic and he doesnt look like he likes to tackle. The second thing is a massive fail in the Cover Who scheme. Players like P-Nut Tillman arent the most athletic, but he will hit hard and go for the ball.

Just for grins...

Right now Claiborne is the 91st rated CB on PFF, out of 108 rated corners.

Mike Jenkins is rated 78th.

Dont see why PFF rating are even mentioned. The way they come up with their ratings are head scratching

this was the scouting report on claiborne as he was coming out. looking back, esp on his 4.50 speed and his touted ball skills, im not so sure he might not be better served at safety, but then again, they have to tackle well.......so idk
