That 62 yard punt return Sunday will be his Cowboys legacy then. Was hoping Dallas would keep him and get rid of a player they aren't using (Martez Wilson, for example).

If original Schefter tweet was "spot-on" Romo would have been put on IR. Glad to see he was not. I liked Spurlock obviously - that punt return set a tone. Harris will be nice to have back though.

I never understand why fans want to cut young players with upside. Martez Wilson (6-4, 252, 4.42 forty) is 25. Both the Saints and Raiders tried to make a LB out of him but it didn't fit his skills. The Cowboys can bring him to training camp next season for free and see if he can develop into a DE. It worked with Selvie.

Micheal Spurlock is 30 and only plays special teams. There is not much upside to keeping him.

I hate how well you appeal to my logic just about every post!

Well, if you're out there, thanks for your contribution Mr. Spurlock. Your excellent punt return led to seven Cowboys' points in a game that was decided by only one.

I echo this...was good while he was here, thanks mike for the help. Glad Harris is back though.

Agreed. If there wasn't a chance at Romo playing, he would have been IR'd to make room for the new backup QB.

That punt return from Spurlock...i'd hate to see where we would've been without that field position. That was a big time punt. His kick returns....for whatever reason he looked so hesitant and patient waiting for holes to open up.

Not a bad payday for a few weeks of work.

Does the one return to set up the TD become legend? Does Spurlock become Percy Howard?

I don't think he really could hit the hole and cut hard on that wet grass. A lot of guys were slipping and falling in that game.
