His words...

He spoke to some people that he knows in the Pats organization and they were not going to take him in the 2nd. Also, he made it sound like he wasn't even on their board.

I really hope Dallas had some info that other teams didn't because by all accounts they got cute and reached for a player when they didn't have to.

Really good episode of the Cowboys Break today. I get the feeling that the co-hosts were getting upset with Broadus.

Everyone wanted to prop up the pick by saying the Patriots were going to take him. Which is odd because I don't remember the last good draft that the Patriots have had.

I'm over it. I thought the Cowboys got cute and I hope it pans out. If the kid never returns to form it was a wasted draft pick. If he comes back as the same dominant player he was in college then it's a grand slam. There's one thing that's certain regardless of the outcome: It was a MAJOR gamble for a 4-12 team that desperately needed help on the D-line.

It was a good pick that will pan out. A little patience is in order here but I know everyone is in criticize mode...

You can't say it will pan out with confidence. Nobody knows if that nerve will start firing again.

Are we so good defensively that we can just draft guys that can't help us?

Broadus was being extra salty today ....... he really hated the pick and wanted them to take that other LB with a bad knee.

We used the same adjective at the same time

You just threw in the extra

Some how Dallas always seems to know what the rest of the league is going to do.

Last of the OL. Frederick won't ever make it to Dallas' 2nd pick. Someone will take him.

9ers we're going to select Escobar.

Ravens wanted Elliott.

Patriots wanted Smith.

Starting to see a little trend here. Whenever the team faces a little second guessing they always seem to have their pick backed up by what some other team would have done.

Help us do what exactly? What will a so called extra defender in round 2 who can play now help us achieve? 1 defensive player wasn't gonna make this team all of a sudden to fear from our d.

Yeah. It really looks like he's having problems lifting that foot.

They have shoes/braces that hold the foot up. He still cannot move the foot but that makes sense because he is only ~halfway through the healing process. The exterior of the nerve was intact and he is regaining sensation as he should with a full recovery. Question is how much muscle strength he will retain. The good news is there are machines that can work the muscle so it doesn't atrophy.

Well right now our DL has a couple of 2nd rounders who are going to miss time and we have a secondary that is just absolutely awful.

34th pick in the draft and you want to start drafting guys who most likely have to miss a year and potentially may never play again? Ok... It better work then.

And with that 1 extra defender won't mean much in the larger picture.

I hope you found the sarcasm in my response. :)
