We are not going to play a finer team all season long. We are not expected to win this game but what if we do? Surely this is the sort of game you can build a season on.

The only thing that would be season defining is if we laid down like dogs.

This is the sort of game we have often played well in ... and then laid an egg the following week

We are pretty bad against the pass. We will get beat like a red-headed step child at this point in the season against a Peyton lead Broncos team.

Broncos: 49
Cowboys; 31

It's pretty sad when the opposing QB is a better coach than the guys we pay to coach.

That opposing QB is the best QB of this generation.

That isn't sad at all. We are lucky to see him play. He'll go down as one of the very best to ever play the position

JG TR & BC no doubt will try to prove they can outpass Peyton!
Broncos 49
Cowboys 23

Garrett Officially loses team because he refuses to put a halt on the heavy pass game. Defense will be exhausted AGAIN & the organization will sale us again that they were 1-2 plays from being in it, not winning it but 2 plays away from being in it via the pass! Then someone will say, we have to be more focused and avoid penalties. Someone on the defense will then say, We just need to make more plays, we were in position to make em but didn't. Garrett will most likely say, balance balance balance followed by Stephen saying we're rebranding our special sauce! Yada Yada Yada! That's are season defined boss!

Absolutely not every team in the league should lose to them. Its the 4 games after the denver loss that will define the season for us!

Can you explain what "a game you can build a season on" even means? If we win the game, well then, we'll have one win that we didn't expect. Balance that against the loss to KC (similarly unexpected), and your preseason win prediction should stay around the same. Well, unless your prediction was 12-4 or 4-12 or something like that: then it should be modified by observation of the team's performance so far.

Underdogs win sometimes. As a rule, they don't suddenly turn into world-beaters after scoring the upset.

I agree Denver right now looks to be the best. However it is the AFC and the significant of the game is not bigger than that of the Saints, Packers, Bears and of course our own division. Those game will have a lot more say in the outcome of the season and any chance to make post season or not since they hold more implications. Having said that this is a big game for Dallas and while others seem to be already conceding this game I’m not. I just don’t see this as some make or break game for the Cowboys

Nobody expects the Cowboys to win so No it will not be season defining. It will be what they do against Washington, Philadelphia and Detroit, the half-way point, that will define us.

Maybe even the best of all-time IMO. As fans, we should enjoy watching him work because we might not ever see that type of play again in our lifetimes. I only hope his new Papa John's store openings have him pre-occupied on Sunday :D

It would not shock me in the least to see them come out, play lights out and pull a huge upset. I have seen them do it against Manning and the Colts and Brees and the Saints.

Now even if they do happen to pull out that win. It does not mean a hill of beans. It does not mean we turn the season around and it does not mean it is the last game we win.

It means this team is consistently inconsistent and probably means that after a win like they they would turn around and lay a fat turd vs the next team.

Until we can prove otherwise we are a middle of the road .500 type team.
