@RavensInsider: Browns claimed wide receiver LaRon Byrd off waivers, according to a source”
Yeah I didn't get this move at all. I think I like Byrd more than Street. Certainly more than the stiff playing FB.
Me too, but Street is a draft pick so I knew they wouldn't cut him.
I'm fine with them keeping Street for now. Keeping the FB over Byrd doesn't make sense to me.
Lol I was playing madden and I saw Austin and Hawkins were the starters, thought too myself, they could really use Byrd, wish him the best.

actually it does.
clutts is a 20 play a game guy who helps on ST.
byrd would have been inactive and awaiting an injury to get on the field.
byrd is a better overall player but he was far less likely to get on the field.
murray runs quite well behind a fullback in the limited snaps that occurs.
That may be so. But whenever we put a FB on the field, we're basically announcing to the defense that it's a running play. Not sure how often the FB will be used on passing plays, or if he's any good at pass protection.murray runs quite well behind a fullback in the limited snaps that occurs.
with Hawk inside and Austin and Byrd outside that's not a bad group. Not nearly as bad as people think it will be.
Actually it doesn't. Because I don't think the team has any chance to compete this year. If the roster decisions were made entirely on contribution this year, riddle me Dustin Vaughn making it.
I'd rather spend the roster spot on a player who might be able to play down the road over a complete JAG I can pick up off the street at any time like Clutts.
