I would be all for this move if he wants to come cheap. More of a scheme fit in a 4-3 than a 3-4 I think.

The vested vets don't go through these waivers. If it were in season after the trade deadline then they pass through the waiver system. He's a free agent now.

It is a bit perplexing that the front office looks at our DE situation and doesn't think they need help. Especially with Tapper likely being a bigger injury than first though, not much from Mayowa in camp, Russell showing little in camp, Lawrence and Gregory out for suspensions when the season begins, etc.
