You know there was only one thing Bruce Coslett was good for, which was his signature play. You know the one!

Fake the run, have the tight end fall down on purpose on a block, then get up and cross the field, meawhile the QB and offense rolled the opposite direction pulling the whole defense over. At that point the TE was wide open on the other side, and the QB threw a nice easy pass back across the field.

This play worked everytime for big yards.

Lets pull that old trick out the bag, and if it aint in the bag, put it in.

agree this is an excellent play. I thought for sure we'd do something similar to this on the goal line. or maybe at least play action to Witten.

lol, man we saw that play every week and it actually worked every time!

This Cowboy offense runs the same few plays over and over. I am sick of seeing the fake reverse to Keyshawn (who would fear him as a ground threat?) then give to Julius up the middle for 3 yards. Since that play sprung Hambrick for a TD against the Jets we haven’t stopped running it. At least actually DO a reverse at some point in the game.

Blast from the past...

please don't do that again.

Not my intent to play blast form the past.

I am being serious, when we need a play, run it.

That was an awesome play...good for 6 everytime. I'm surprised other teams don't try it.

Line up Spears as the TE for an "obvious" goaline run sitatuaton. No one would suspect him for the pass.

Of coarse, someone would have to block for Bledsoe to buy some time :)

I was just thinking of that play a couple of weeks ago. I'd call it the Move The Chains Mcgee play.

Actually, our version of that play was for Jeff Robinson. Now he's gone, we gotta find another low-key decoy to use on the goal line for those money plays.

Who has time for unique non-running plays that might actually work?

Run the reverse to Glenn or Price.

Or even Newman, ... or fake one to Newman.

I like it.

And while we're at it, let's flea-flicker every now and then.

We've seen forms of it, but we can do more, especially with the way that Bledsoe is slinging the ball deep.

Tell me that Glenn doesn't spring loose deep every time the DB falls off.

Yep, that was a great play for us in '02-- I'm surprised we didn't run it more ourselves this season. I remember the play working beautifully against TN and @ St. Louis... both wins!

I loved that play. We should have kept in the book when Coslett was fired.
