this is the bottom line
You can’t score 7 points in the first 3 quarters of a playoff game at home and expect to win
This loss is on McCarthy, Moore and Dak
what's the rule on a backward pass from Prescott in the field of play out of bounds?
would that kill the clock immediately without the ball having to be spotted?
just asking?
what's the rule?
a 10 second run off?
If a backward pass goes out of bounds between the goal lines, the ball is dead (7-6-2-a), and it is next put in play at the inbounds spot.
Perfectly explained, also Romo said as well.

keep bringing up the excuses guys!Yes, let's ignore 59 minutes and 46 seconds of failure and focus on one desperate play in the final 14 seconds.
That would be delay of gameI'm not sure what you are asking. Are you saying after the QB draw they got set and he threw it out of bounds before the refs spotted the ball? Then no.
it wasn't that gaffe....everyone is acting as if he had 2 second and would make a throw it would result in a TD...it would be a chance. and niners who effectively had shut us down, would have dropped or 9 into coverage....Dak Prescott’s rush attempt ended Cowboys’ season
As Tony Romo made extremely clear, the referee had to touch the ball before Prescott could clock it. Prescott, instead, seemed to believe he could just hand the ball to the center and reset things himself.
Seriously … how does this happen? How does no one have the right answer under pressure here?
