I think you mean "secret sauce"

The day I see you say something purely positive I will-

I don't know... I haven't thought it all the way through since I don't believe it will happen.

Keep cutting through that crap though... This board needs more of those people.

The guys on Talkin Cowboys said that Garrett is adjusting the offense to be ready for December and more running.

must be able to run down the stretch, if/when this guy gets in a game, it will be ST or that occasional 3rd and short run, assuming that we don't PASS on 3rd and 1

Well, we've gotta start doing something different in December, given our poor record during this month. Perhaps one of the adjustments is a focus on running the ball more effectively (and hopefully more often).

The timing of this signing is what intrigues me. Why not get a FB in November to be ready for December?

Looked at some old youtube highlights and he can catch. He caught some passes while with the Bears in particular. I don't think he would have been signed if he did not impress in this department in the try-outs.

I suspect that back in November, they might have thought that their HB Dunbar would have been available in December and after that didn't prove to be the case, went with the best HB / FB player available?

Why are we arguing about this? I can't envision a scenario where our season hangs on the back of Tyler Clutts.

murray runs better when he has a fullback leading the way for him.

Well..

It would seem that somehow or whatever..

..the Cowboys seemed to have really undergone a self-evaluation and we are seeing it in things like defensive coverages being changed from zone to more man-to-man..

We have had Garrett go back to sending in the plays to Romo..

..running the ball more..

Moving Dez around in the slot and being sure he gets at least 10-15 throws each game..

Discovering we can actually run if we really want to..

..and Romo has rediscovered his 2 minute offense..

Now this addition make more sense than any of it..

..yes..lead FB escort for Murray is on the way.

Using the 2TEs sets is going to become part of the changes too.

Watch.

Yes, considering the players they brought in, obviously Dallas was considering signing a halfback and liked what Clutts offered more.

If the team had strictly been looking for a fullback, I believe it would have brought in a bunch and not invited the tailbacks.

lawerence vickers isn't too happy about the move...it seems like a lot of ex-cowboys leave the team salty.

Meaning they should have considered him first, or he feels betrayed by the reneging of the no fullback offense that got him released in the first place?

He doesn't truly believe that, he's just talking out of his ***. Or if he actually does believe that, then he's a moron. His work that he put into football has set him up and his family for the rest of their life, so obviously it meant something ... Even if Dallas didn't sign him again, that doesn't mean his "hard work and dedication" was for nothing. And who knows, maybe another team picks him up later.

It's obvious he just wanted to be a Cowboy though and feels betrayed to a degree.

C'mon man. You thought I was saying that?

Re-read my post and read it more carefully than you obviously did the first time. I said I have no problem if they could throw some unfamiliar wrinkles in the game-plan.

A play or two here and there.

I thought you were an open-minded guy. And I called you The Great Zord...

i read it, just didn't make sense. this offensive staff has showed a total lack of creativity the last 2 seasons, you think now in December there's a possibility of them breaking out some new stuff b/c they signed tyler clutts? c'mon man it ain't happening. plus why would they now have new formations when bosworth has been playing fullback for this team when a fullback is needed.

He wanted to play this season, I just am not sure what part of the signing he was pissed off about.. that they didn't consider him a candidate this week, or that they told him when they released him that it wasn't him, they were just going in a different direction with 3 functioning TE's and no FB?

Or neither one, and he is just bitter for not playing.

What is the O/U on how many times we will see a FB in a play through the last four games? I'll set it at 24 and take the under, way under!
