I dont take too much stock into what herm edwards says, what has he done in the playoffs and the superbowl?

We do run the ball we also have one of the better QB's who can put up big numbers. I think the identity should be a team that is very capable of hurting you with the run as well as the pass and a defense who is playing as well as any unit out there

I think that's exactly right Doomsday. What makes us good when we're on is that we can hit you with either and we just try and take what you give us. We aren't a power running team and to me that's a team who has an identity as a running team.

Has Herm actually watched our games this year??? How many times have we passed the ball from the 1 or 2 yard line this year??? The one game we did go all out run, we almost got beat by the freaking Skins. We only won that game because we went shotgun, 4 wides every down on that last drive.

I have to disagree with Herm, sure we can run the ball good, but our bread and butter is Tony Romo playing sandlot ball and running around and making plays. In almost all of our close wins, it is Romo throwing a TD pass that usually wins the game for us. I cant remember one win this year where we just ran the ball down the field in the 4th quarter to get a win.

The papers I read seem to think the same thing. Everyone knows we have good rbs and just assume we run like crazy..

I think that's exactly right Doomsday. What makes us good when we're on is that we can hit you with either and we just try and take what you give us. We aren't a power running team and to me that's a team who has an identity as a running team.

I think if we go out and do both well then we do become a team that is hard to contend with. I understand those who want to run the ball allot more but for me I like getting Romo going early in the game because when we do it becomes so much easier to hit teams with big plays in the running game.

I'm not one of those who think we "need to run the ball more". I think we are actually pretty well balanced right now. I do however, think we need to run smarter, and at more appropriate times.

1st and goal from the 2 should entail at LEAST 2 running attempts from power formations, and NOT draw plays.

We are good at running, great at passing, where the hell is the play action?

It goes good with the 8.2 per pass which is 3rd in the NFL. May have something to do with being 8-3 when you start combining the 5.3 and the 8.2 per rush and pass

Our offense is good in parts but it just isn't "complete" yet. It just isn't consistent yet due to mainly inopportune penalties.

We are 4th in offense(YPG) in the NFL yet we are 14th in scoring. That has to get fixed soon if we are to make any noise in the playoffs.

What's funny is our defense is ranked 14th in YPG yet 2nd in scoring.

Correct. Penalties have killed us at times this year. We get a good drive going then, bingo, we now have 1st and 15 or 1st and 20 instead of 1st and 10.
