Here is all the information you'll need to attend our late October get-together in the Poconos. Come out, meet O.C.C and rabblerousr, nosh some good food, drink some potent potables, tell some tall tales, and watch Cowboys-Giants II.

EDITORS NOTE - I wish I could attend the following, but family obligations won't allow it. But I would encourage anybody who can go to go, it will surely be a fun time for all as the Cowboys beat the Giants for a second time. -- Dave

As many of you know, one of our members, NEPACOWBOY, runs several restaurants in the beautiful Poconos. He has generously offered to host a BTB meet-up to watch a Cowboys game together and, after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided that the best option will be the October 24th Cowboys-Giants tilt.

The event will be attended by rabblerousr and, all the way from Germany, the great O.C.C. So, come out, mingle with your fellow BTBers (and any other Cowboys fans you might wish to invite), enjoy some good food and drink, and watch the Cowboys sweep the Giants!

The Skinny: there are three major events, as follows:

1. Saturday, October 24 (8:00-10:00 PM): Dinner at Smuggler's Cove*

2. Sunday, October 25 (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM): Brunch at Bailey's

3. Sunday, October 25 (4:30-8:30 PM) Cowboys-Giants game at Bailey's, w/ free buffet

*PLEASE NOTE: The seating at Saturday's dinner is limited, so please register well in advance. If your plans change, please un-register so somebody else can secure a seat. Also, it will not be held at Baileys, the restaurant where we'll be holding the other events. Dinner will be at Smuggler's Cove (2972 PA-611, Tannersville, PA 18321)

In addition, there is a mowed grass field and a large outdoor deck that NEPA will open between Sunday brunch and the beginning of the game. So, be sure to bring sporting equipment and lawn games (footballs, jarts) as we get ready for the game.

Pricing: As noted above, the buffet is free. In addition, NEPA is generously covering the price of soft drinks, and offering a special BTB discount for Saturday night's dinner ($20.00 all inclusive) and Sunday's brunch (normally $11.99) of $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.

For liability reasons, we must pay for all adult beverages.

Lodging: For those of you who want to arrive Saturday or stay over on Sunday (should you want to hit the sauce during the game), NEPA has the following recommendations (hit link to see hotel/ make a reservation):

There are two hotels right next to Bailey's:

Hotel M Mount Pocono

Comfort Inn & Suites Mount Pocono

In addition, there are a couple of interesting higher-end options nearby:

Mount Airy Casino Resort (Mount Pocono)

Camelback Mountain Ski Resort (Tannersville)

Want something super kid-friendly? Try these (both feature water parks):

Kalahari (Mount Pocono)

Great Wolf Lodge (Scotrun)

RSVP-ing: To prepare for our arrival, NEPA needs as clear a headcount as possible. With this in mind, I've set up a ticketleap page where you can register for each of the three events outlined above. If you are planning on coming, please register for each of the events you will be attending, so we can gauge how many folks NEPA and his crew will need to accommodate at each event.
