By the time you are reading this #10 Washington has completed its 44-6 domination of #7 Stanford, but fret not. There is more action where that came from.

There are three marquee games pitting ranked teams and conference contenders against each other. A couple of these contests also have some pretty heavy implications in the national title hunt.

#11 Tennessee @ #25 Georgia 3:30 PM Eastern CBS

The Volunteers are back atop the college football world, and they will be looking to take no prisoners when they battle Georgia this weekend. Even though this game is being played between the hedges in Athens the visiting team is a three-point favorite. The challenge for the men from Rocky Top is going to be to find some consistency in their game. The same goes for the Bulldogs, who have experienced multiple shaky starts this season.

By the time this one is finished look for Tennessee to have taken another small step forward toward another SEC crown.

#8 Wisconsin @ #4 Michigan 3:30 PM ABC/WatchESPN

It is a shame that this game and the one in Georgia are on at the same time, because you are going to want to watch both.

Michigan and Ohio State were expected to be the big dogs in the Big Ten this season, but the Badgers have fought their way into the hunt as well. Paul Cryst's team is determined to prove that they are the elite of the conference, and the next two weeks will give them the chance. After rolling into Ann Arbor to face the Wolverines, Wisconsin has the Buckeyes on tap next week. If they can survive the next two games, a 12-0 season and a shot at a national championship will be a very real possibility. All they have to do is get started by winning in the Big House this weekend.

I am going to go out on a limb with this one. Maybe it is an anti Harbaugh bias but I am taking Wisconsin in an upset.

#3 Louisville @ #5 Clemson 8:00 PM ABC/Watch ESPN

As good as the previous two contests look to be, the late matchup could be the best of the week.

Louisville made a statement with the spanking they gave to Florida State a couple weeks ago, but now they have to prove that they can beat another contender on the road. Death Valley is one of the toughest places in the county for a visiting team to play, let alone win. If the Cardinals can do that then they will have little left to prove in the ACC.

The experts have gone back and forth over this one all week. Clemson opened as a 3.5-point favorite; they are now a two-point underdog. Either way they will hold serve at home and hang the Cardinals with their first loss of the season.
