After a weekend that saw five of the top eight teams in college football go down to defeat, the warriors of Saturday afternoon are back with another week of quality showdowns.

Texas @ #11 Oklahoma ABC 12:00 PM Eastern

The Red River Rivalry is an annual highlight of the Texas State Fair. The two storied programs will meet in Dallas' AT&T Stadium to rehash a battle that has been played since 1900. Situated halfway between the two schools, Dallas has been the meeting point (with a few exceptions) since 1912. This year the Sooners will look to avenge a loss at the hands of the Longhorns last season. Texas holds the all time series lead with a 60-43-5 mark. With the Horns in transition and the Sooners on top of their game, this match up may look lopsided but, like most rivalries, this game traditionally brings out the best in both teams.

#13 Georgia @ #23 Missouri CBS 12:00 PM Eastern

This game would have been an interesting one without any associated drama, but with the news that Georgia's Heisman Trophy candidate Todd Gurley has been suspended indefinitely due to an NCAA violation, it becomes an even better opportunity for the Tigers to come up with a signature win for their 2014 campaign. They will need another big performance from Maty Mauk, who had his coming out party against the Bulldogs last year and to cash in on Georgia's misfortune. If they can do that, Missouri will find themselves being a factor in the SEC East.

#2 Auburn @ #3 Mississippi State CBS 3:30 PM Eastern

The SEC West picture will become a little more clear after these two squads settle their differences on the gridiron. While the rest of the division looks to rebound from Separation Saturday the Tigers and Bulldogs will jockey for position at the head of the pack in football's best division. The victor will find themselves as the front-runner for the Conference Championship Game in Atlanta later this year.

#9 TCU @ #5 Baylor ABC/ESPN2 3:30 PM Eastern

There is plenty of good football at every level in Texas, and these two teams represent some of the best. There is just a short drive down I-35 that separates these two schools, and the bad feelings are running pretty deep at the present time. The two coaches, Gary Patterson and Art Briles, have a recent history with each other as well. Both teams have a lot on the line this week; for Briles and the Baylor Bears, a victory would put them in the driver's seat to win the Big 12. For Patterson's Horned Frogs a win would put an exclamation point on their statement victory over Oklahoma last week and serve notice that TCU deserves a slot among the nation's elite.

#12 Oregon @ #18 UCLA FOX 3:30 PM Eastern

This PAC-12 showdown features a plethora of playmakers from Marcus Mariota to Brett Hundley to Eric Kendricks. NFL scouts will have plenty of future NFL talent to watch as these two schools take the field. This game should serve as a showcase for some of the top talent in the college game. In addition to putting on a show, the loser of this match up will most likely take themselves out of the playoff picture. That should add a bit of focus to both squads.

#3 Ole Miss @ #14 Texas A&M ESPN 9:00 PM Eastern

The two teams from the Magnolia State share a #3 ranking after the twin defeats they delivered one week ago in the "Day the Football Gods Smiled on Mississippi". Now the Rebels may have to pay the piper. They go into Kyle Field to face an Aggie team that will be fired up after being one of those teams that was on the losing end of the massacre in Mississippi last week. College Station is a rough place to play under the best of circumstances, but after the Ags lost to Mississippi State last week, the 12th man is going to be out in full force to help their team get back in the win column. If Ole Miss can emerge from this one with a win, they will have fully earned their ranking.
