Cowboys still active players in free agency.

The big-time signings for the 2016 free agency period are over, but there are still plenty of players looking for contracts. Earlier this morning ESPN pegged the number at 193. Some players have signed since then but that is still a huge number of guys. The Cowboys are now looking to pick up on the bargain prices that will be available. They are planning meetings with two players, as noted by Todd Archer.

With needs on both sides of the line, the Dallas Cowboys will meet with defensive end Jason Jones and guard/center Joe Looney, according to sources.

Jason Jones was a player brought up here at BTB 10 days ago as a possible defensive end signing to bolster the rotation.

4. Jason Jones (Lions) - He's getting up there in years (turning 30) but has been a solid presence for the Lions. He had a very good year opposite Ziggy Ansah and graded out on the positive side from PFF in both run defense and pass rush.

Looney is just 25 and has 10 starts among the 27 games in which he has played.
