The Cowboys have a visit lined up.
[UPDATE] Well that was quick, not long after I posted this article about the Cowboys lining up a visit with Leodis McKelvin, news came out that he has a greed to a two-year deal with the Eagles. One thing I guess it does show is the Cowboys will be active in the second-tier cornerback market. [END UPDATE]
The Dallas Cowboys aren't making a lot of news early in free agency, but that was expected. One name that has surfaced is Leodis McKelvin, who has a visit lined up with the Cowboys. The cornerback was recently released by the Buffalo Bills and is currently talking with the Eagles so he may never get to Dallas if a deal is struck with their NFC East rivals.

McKelvin played eight seasons with the Bills, he was their first-round pick (number eleven overall) in 2008. He is currently 30 years old and plays a position of need for the Cowboys. Over his career he has 13 interceptions and has started 60 games. McKelvin has had some great moments on special teams as a kick returner but he has had trouble staying in the Bills starting lineup because of injuries.
McKelvin is only 5' 10" and is considered more of a "speed" cornerback. He was scheduled to count $3.9 million against the Bills salary cap before they released him last Friday.
