The Wednesday practice report points to some issues for Dallas this week.
The Dallas Cowboys have been fighting injuries to big-name players all year, and now they have some more names on the list. The Cowboys practiced today, but Dez Bryant was not a participant. Dez banged up his knee a bit in the Eagles game but the good news is the Cowboys expect him to play this Sunday. He should be back at practice later this week.
The linebacker position may be a bit more problematic. Sean Lee is doubtful to play this week because of his second concussion on the season. Jerry Jones doesn't expect Lee to go. His potential replacement, Anthony Hitchens, is battling an ankle injury and he also missed out on practice today. The Cowboys were also missing Nick Hayden and Barry Church, both dealing with ankle injuries. Church has been able to play through his for the past couple of weeks, Hayden's injury is new.
Two running backs, Christine Michael and Rod Smith, missed practice with an illness. Also not practicing was receiver Brice Butler. A couple of rookies are making some news this week. Mark Nzeocha is expected to be moved to the regular roster with the release of Kellen Moore and Chaz Green actually practiced, kicking off the clock on his three-week window to be active or go on IR.
