Here are all the highlights from the second practice out at Cowboys training camp.

Well, amidst all the controversy surrounding Lucky Whitehead’s release and the “not guilty” verdict for Jourdan Lewis, the Dallas Cowboys had a training camp practice today. Here are all the highlights from that practice.

Two guys that have spent most of their time playing the right end are DeMarcus Lawrence and Damontre Moore. Here they are basking in the California sun:

Lawrence is by far the most accomplished pass rusher the Cowboys have and he’s seemingly catching some eyes:

Demarcus Lawrence is the best DL here and it's not close. Based on drills which is dumb. But he's explosive, healthy, strong.

— Jeff Cavanaugh (@JC1053) July 25, 2017

Apparently, he’s not the only pass rusher that has looked impressive:

Tapper looks good too.

Here’s Tank Lawrence in the defensive drills, you know, doing defensive stuff:

In drills while most are just clubbing dummies, Lawrence stringing together pass rush moves. Rod approves.

Followed by Taco Charlton out there showing some speed:

One quick note, Benson Mayowa was not practicing today, he’s dealing with some knee soreness:

It can’t be all about the defense, Dez Bryant led the receivers in the receiving drills. Dez Bryant is always excited to be on the practice field.

Another update on Jaylon Smith, who looked great in practice yesterday:

You can definitely see the guy the Cowboys see in Jaylon Smith at times. There are moments where he shows flashes of something incredible.

Ezekiel Elliott has put a clear message on his cleats that read “Feed Zeke”:

Yesterday, we saw that Geoff Swaim was back to work, today we get a glimpse of James Hanna, who was moving well:

Joe Looney or Jumbo Joe is working as the second-team center and he’s got an interesting cadence:

Joe Looney is playing 2nd-team center, and he calls the huddle by grunting like an ogre, really loudly. Sounds something like "BROOOOO."

— David Helman (@HelmanDC) July 25, 2017

It’s not fair to the coaches and equipment guys to even pretend to cover Terrance Williams:

Here’s an action shot of Ryan Switzer getting in on the action:

Tyrone Crawford is still healing up from offseason shoulder surgery but he says he’s close:

Jason Witten, the epitome of what it means to be a Dallas Cowboy, on and off the field:

That Dez Bryant is one really good dude, he even plays catch with his fans:

That’s all for today but be sure to keep checking BTB each day for more training camp updates.

Great to see DLaw moving well, I started a thread on DEs because we could have five DEs on this team with good pass rush skills (plus T. Crawford and David Irving).

what has he done lately that is considered bone headed, nothing for a really long time, like since his rookie year or so.
and the being late last Saturday I do not consider as bone headed...it happens at times to everyone.
He showed up 3 hours late for a mandatory team meeting. He cited a sinus infection, but he looked healthy at his bbq the day before. More likely, it was a hangover.

Oh, cut it out. Or maybe he was abducted by aliens since we're apparently playing the "let's make completely unfounded assumptions" game.

I do give him credit for being good to kids. I believe that it's genuine and not just for a media show.

Otherwise I'm very critical of him.
Baby steps, X! :)

Indeed, you are very critical of him. But you're also very fair to the team with your analysis', so when you criticize Dez I listen. I usually don't agree, but I listen (for whatever that's worth to you :)).

Ughhh, The more I see pics of training camp, the more I wish my 11 yr old didn't want to go. So many people. Good for the Cowboys , but, bad for old farts like me that hate crowds. My kid is gonna be disappointed. He has seen pics/vids of past training camps (before he was born) and how close we were to the players and there wasn't many people around at all. Course, this also was 2000 or so, lol, before the net and before anyone really cared about the Cowboys.. Hahahahah

I think the kid was showing Dez how to tell time so he won't be late. It is the least the kid can do for Dez playing catch with him.

Gosh...Dez is a such a bonehead at times, but also a great guy. Enigma.

He loves football, and everything that goes with it. No doubt about that. His issues are emotional, not desire, and he's way better than he used to be.

I just hope he can re-find that burst and learn to run better routes.
