Rolando McClain is at Valley Ranch today after he had chosen not to participate in OTAs over the previous weeks.
Bryan Broaddus of DallasCowboys.com initially broke the news that Rolando McClain is at Valley Ranch today as the Cowboys kick off their minicamp.

McClain's absence from OTAs had been cause for consternation among parts of the Cowboys fan base, and had given rise to sometimes fairly imaginative theories as to why he wasn't participating in OTAs.
McClain recently had surgery on the knee that had been giving him trouble throughout most of last season. Initially, there was hope that conservative and non-invasive treatment would clear up the knee, but when the issues persisted, McClain decided to have arthroscopic surgery in an effort to be fully ready for the start of the season.
McClain chose to rehab from the surgery at home in Alabama, which caused some uncertainty not just with fans, but also with the coaching staff. In a press conference last week, Jason Garrett tiptoed around questions about when McClain would return to Dallas.
"Well, the minicamp is mandatory," Garrett said. "It's the only thing in the offseason that is mandatory, so it's important for us to make sure that's clear to everybody and express that to our players. There are some specific situations where things that you do in a mandatory fashion don't always happen. You know players miss practice during the season for different reasons and those are mandatory. So we'll work through the specific situations as we go. Rolando is doing a good job with his rehab, and we'll see what his plans are for next week."
When asked directly if McClain would show up next week, Garrett said, "Yeah, I don't want to get into much more detail than that."
While Cowboys fans can now breathe a little easier, McClain's presence does not automatically mean that he'll participate in minicamp. He is still rehabbing from his knee scope, and it's not certain how far along in his recovery he is, though we'll probably know that by the end of the day. Jason Garrett indicated earlier today that McClain "will not do anything rigorous during minicamp."

The Cowboys are allowing the media to attend all three minicamp practices, starting today. You can follow what's happening at Valley Ranch via the Twitter feed below, and you can use this post as an open thread for any Cowboys related topic during today's workouts.
You can activate the Twitter feed by clicking on the "Launch Twitter Feed" button below. The feed will occupy either the right side (top right) of your screen on most devices or the top portion of your screen on extra-small devices. Once launched, you can hide the Feed by clicking on the "Hide" button, which will remove the Feed, leaving nothing but an "Expand" button behind, which of course brings it back if you so wish. Have fun today!
