Didn't know we had climbed the ladder that far. Still we only have 32 sacks which is piddly IMO. Mayowa has 6, Collins 5 and Irving 4. Didn't look up pressures which Irving should have a decent amount.

The team came out in the preseason, in action and deed, stating they were going for youthful talent that could be developed. They have done just that and the results are starting to speak for itself.

You bring up a good point with Lett. If anyone can teach our young pass rushers technique, it's Leon Lett. He also understands substance abuse so he can help a guy like Gregory.

I would agree with that and add that I wouldn't be surprised if Lett was quite influential in developing Irving into what he's become. He's pretty much becoming a Lett clone and if anyone can teach him what it takes to use that length to advantage, it'd be Leon. As far as Gregory is concerned, I just hope he's willing to listen to those advising him and equally as willing to act upon it. If so, we might very well be blessed in the process.

The top 5 teams in sacks, Carolina (44), Arizona (41), Denver (40), Minnesota (39), and Buffalo & Green Bay (38 ea.) aren't exactly tearing up the league. I'm not completely writing off sacks as an important component of defense but maybe we look at it a little too closely.

Sacks are great. Pressures are huge, and we have been doing that very well too

Agreed, and even with my statement about sacks I still see pass rushing DE as a high priority in the upcoming draft.
