The Cowboys will be as healthy as they have been in a while, except for the linebackers.
Today's practice saw the Dallas Cowboys field a team of healthy players at almost every position - the one exception being the linebacker corps. Sean Lee and Justin Durant are both out with the hamstring problems and that was to be expected. Earlier in the week, DeVonte Holloman looked to be on his way back and into the starting lineup. The rookie was tabbed to play the strong-side in the Cowboys base 4-3, but after Wednesday's practice his neck injury flared up again and he hasn't practiced the past couple of days, including today. It looks for sure like he'll miss Sunday's game.
The Cowboys completed the signing of LB Orie Lemon by releasing Micah Pellerin. With that move, the Cowboys are signalling that's all is well in the secondary with the return of Morris Claiborne and J.J. Wilcox. In addition, DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher will be back, fortifying a defensive line that has been decimated by injury. The Cowboys will have their two best pass-rushers available for Eli Manning and the Giants offensive line. Miles Austin will also return to action, perhaps providing a spark for the sputtering offense.
