Jason Hatcher was back at practice today making it almost certain he'll play this weekend. He suffered a stinger in last week's game and it looks like the Cowboys are treating it much like they did with DeMarcus Ware which is limit activity during the week's practices. The Cowboys desperately need Hatcher in the line up. He has a history of good play against the Commanders.
Yesterday Miles Austin returned to Cowboys practice and apparently didn't suffer a setback. Austin was at practice today and seems to be moving pretty well. Given that, you can go ahead and pencil in Austin's name for the Commanders game. Now we'll see how the rotation goes with all five of the receivers able to play. Personally, I like Cole Beasley working from the slot and would like to see more of that, at the expense of Dwayne Harris. Nothing against Harris but Beasley has looked more dynamic.
Still missing are Justin Durant, Edgar Jones and Lance Dunbar. Joseph Randle will probably see time on the active roster with Dunbar hurting. Also, the Cowboys want to get safety Jeff Heath some snaps on defense after releasing Will Allen this week. Heath has been playing special teams but might be in line for an elevated role.
