The Cowboys are going through their final preparations for their Throwdown in Motown, but who will be suiting up for the team from Dallas?
One source within the organization says starting safety J.J. WIlcox will not play in the game according to the Star-Telegram. Wilcox acknowledges that he does have a sprain of the MCL but didn't make any definitive statement about this week's game, although it was clear from the conversation that next week is likely the earliest he will return. This leaves UDFA Jeff Heath in line for a start and just another in a long list of Cowboys recently who will have a chance to shine because of injuries. Luckily Heath has seen the field some at safety recently, now we'll see how that translates over the course of whole game.
DeMarcus Ware didn't practice again today pretty much confirming what everybody has suspected, it's very unlikely he'll play on Sunday. DeVonte Holloman is still absent from practice while Miles Austin continues to be in "limited participation" mode, leaving his status for Sunday uncertain.
The good news for the week is that DeMarco Murray continues to practice and while the organization has yet to confirm it, he'll likely play. Also Morris Claiborne returned today after fighting off some migraine headaches yesterday, and Nick Hayden's back feels well enough that he practiced today.
