NFL Pro Bowl balloting is underway, and the NFL announced the leading vote-getters for the 2015 Pro Bowl. Five Cowboys are among the leading vote-getters at their positions in the 2015 Pro Bowl voting.
Numbers released this week by the NFL show that DeMarco Murray is the top running back in fan voting and the fourth-highest vote getter among all NFL players. Offensive linemen Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, and Zack Martin also lead their respective positions, and Dan Bailey also makes the list of early leaders. If they all end up making the Pro Bowl, Murray and Smith would be making their second Pro Bowl appearances while it would be the first Pro Bowl nomination for Frederick, Martin, and Bailey.
If you haven't voted for your favorite Cowboys players yet, go to NFL.com/ProBowl and cast your vote. Multiple times. Every day.
Balloting will conclude on Monday, December 15. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on December 19, and the Pro Bowl players will be announced on Tuesday, December 23. Players will later be assigned to teams through the Pro Bowl Draft during the week leading up to the game on January 25, 2015.
The Pro Bowl players are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. The NFL is the only sports league that combines voting by fans, coaches and players to determine its all-star teams. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 88 All-Star players who will be eligible for the Pro Bowl Draft.
Here are the top ten vote-getters so far:

No love here for Tony Romo, who doesn't rank within the top five quarterbacks in early fan voting. On to the individual position leaders, where the Cowboys have five players at the top of their respective positions, including Zack Martin, who could manage the unusual feat of making the Pro Bowl in his rookie season.

To the winners go the spoils?
The 7-2 Broncos lead all teams with seven players in the position leaders table above. The 7-3 Cowboys follow with five players, and the 6-3 Packers share third place with the 7-2 Patriots; both teams have three players on the list above.
Conspicuously absent from the list are the 8-1 Cardinals, the 7-2 Lions, and the 7-2 Eagles. Beautiful irony: the 3-6 Commanders have two players on the list and the 3-6 Giants have one player where the Eagles have none.
As it's still early in the voting process a lot of things may still change, especially when the players and coaches add their votes to the totals. Which in turn may bode well for other Cowboys players like Dez Bryant, Tony Romo, Jason Witten or even defenders like Rolando McClain or Henry Melton, who might well get more recognition from their peers than they do from the NFL fans.
In addition to the five players already at the top of the ballots, which other Cowboys players do you think will eventually make the trip to the Pro Bowl (their schedule permitting)?
