The Cowboys have extended a helping hand to the Houston Texans and together they hope to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

"Due to public safety concerns resulting from the ongoing weather emergency related to Hurricane Harvey, Thursday's Dallas Cowboys-Houston Texans game originally scheduled to be played in Houston at 7 p.m. CT has been relocated to AT&T Stadium in Arlington," the league said in a statement. "Kickoff on Thursday will remain at 7 p.m. CT. Details on tickets, parking and other game day logistics will be announced later this week."

Former players and cheerleaders will take part in the telethon with the money raised going to the Salvation Army's Disaster Relief efforts.
“We opened our doors for the Texans to come this way,” Anderson said, “and we’ll continue to have them open as long as they need them.”

Charlotte Jones Anderson, Cowboys executive vice president/chief brand officer and chairperson of the NFL Foundation, announced Monday that the NFL Foundation is matching the Houston Texans’ $1 million donation to the United Way Relief Fund to assist those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
“Those efforts will continue beyond the immediate disaster relief as we assess the needs in the area and hopefully come back in to support some of the programs that deal with youth football in the area, that we hopefully can rebuild them after the devastation that has hit,” Anderson said.

The NFL is moving Thursday's preseason game between the Texans and Cowboys because of flooding in Houston. If it's played, J.J. Watt wants the NFL to use the game to raise funds for those affected by the flooding.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will appeal his six-game suspension on Tuesday.
Elliott and his representatives asked for a “truly” independent arbitrator to hear the case, someone other than Harold Henderson, a former NFL management executive picked to oversee the appeal by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, according to a source.
That request was denied by Goodell, who under Article 46 of the league’s collective bargaining agreement, is given the authority to hear the case himself or appoint a designee.

Sources have told Yahoo Sports that they believe they have it, via some of the same procedural collective bargaining arguments that opened the door for the union and quarterback Tom Brady to sue the NFL in deflate-gate. The sources declined to make the exact violations clear, but told Yahoo Sports that it involves all three of the aforementioned developments: naming Henderson as a partial arbitrator; failing to require Thompson to appear for cross-examination; and refusing to produce investigative material gathered when the NFL interviewed Thompson on multiple occasions.
The sources also told Yahoo Sports another significant development for Elliott: The NFLPA has once again called upon its most powerful outside attack dog, attorney Jeffrey Kessler. The sources said Kessler will be a significant part of Elliott’s appeal and the likely federal case filing that will occur next. The same Kessler who has waged war with the NFL on multiple high-profile occasions, including representing Brady in deflate-gate and the last antitrust case filed against the league. His involvement is key, largely because he is one of the most versed attorneys in the United States when it comes to the NFL and attacking it on the collective bargaining front.
