Of course the bad news of the day is the season-ending Achilles injury to Tyrone Crawford. A real shame, everybody was looking forward to his development and what he could bring to the defensive line rotation this year. Now the Cowboys have to fill that void internally, or make a move on the free agency market. Some defensive ends still available include:
John Abraham
Juqua Parker
Kyle Vanden Bosch
Trevor Scott
Derrick Harvey
Antwan Applewhite
Lost in the injury news about Crawford was that Anthony Spencer missed some time.
Anthony Spencer missed the last hour of practice with a balky left knee. Spencer said he tweaked the same knee he hyperextended during offseason workouts. The linebacker said he rested as a precaution. Kyle Wilber replaced him with the first team.
And some good news on the injury front?
Guards N Livings, M Bernadeau & R Leary all expected to return to practice before end of the week. More to come at http://t.co/gDRcfZQXli
