Cowboys looking relatively healthy.
The Dallas Cowboys schedule is an odd one this week, the first regular practice in anticipation of the Thursday night game with the Chicago Bears was on Sunday. As usual, Tony Romo skipped that practice and he was joined by left tackle Tyron Smith who was out with a stomach illness. Today, both important pieces of the Cowboys offense were back at it, practicing for the game on Thursday.
The only Cowboys players who were absent today were safety Jeff Heath, who is still recovering from his thumb surgery, cornerback Tyler Patmon (MCL sprain) and linebacker Dekoda Watson. All three are expected to miss the Bears game at Soldier Field.
The Chicago Bears will be without a very important piece on their defense, they had to place linebacker Lance Briggs on injured reserve. Briggs has long been one of the leaders on the Chicago defense and one of its better players, but he is in the final year of his contract and might have played his last game with the Bears. Second-year linebacker Jonathan Bostic is expected to replace Briggs.
