A brief look at the UDFAs for Dallas.

Immediately after the draft ended yesterday, teams around the NFL started signing undrafted free agents or invited them to rookie camp tryouts. That initial list as compiled by BTB (mainly KD and OCC) can be seen in this post. Now, these "signings" can be very fluid things, sometimes they aren't even signings, merely invites to a tryout. So, while we've done out best to verify the accuracy of the list, by no means should you consider it definitive. But, based on what we know, these are the guys the Cowboys have interest in. Just who exactly are they? Let's take a quick look at each.

All of these profiles and notes were taken from different sources around the web and are not my own scouting report. So if you know a player and have a different view of him, by all means enlighten us in the comments section.

L'Damian Washington WR Missouri --- All you need to know about this guy can be found in this article on BTB. Turns out L'Damian is KD's pet cat.

J.C. Copeland FB LSU --- 5' 11", 271 lbs. Basically described as a bowling-ball lead blocker. Very physical but not technically sound. Has to watch his weight. A beast in short-yardage and goal line situations. More here. And here.

Cody Mandell P Alabama --- He's a punter, but a very good one. Had great stats at Alabama.

Dustin Vaughan QB West Texas A&M --- Big QB, stands at 6' 5", weighs 235 lbs.. Played in a pass-happy offense for a Div. II school. Set all kind of records. Profile here.

Chris Whaley DT Texas --- 6' 3", 270 lbs. Described as having an explosive and athletic lower body. Weight fluctuations are a problem. That 270 lbs weight is at a point in time, goes up and down. Needs more upper body strength. Raw moves and reactions, needs time to develop. Profile here. And here.

Brian Clarke OG Bloomsburg --- 6' 3", 290 lbs. Div II product, good run blocker. Described as quick and agile and with a nasty streak. May need to develop his pass blocking. Taken from this profile.

Jordan Najvar TE Baylor --- 6' 6", 256 lbs. Shows good mobility and fundamentals as a blocker. Has soft hands but wasn't utilized as a pass-catcher too often. Good size and bulk for an NFL TE.

Davon Coleman DT Arizona State --- 6' 1", 286 lbs.Good point of attack strength, locates ball and pursues. Good play style for a 1-tech, could be a 3-tech, too. Had 8.5 sacks in 2013 and 15 tackles for loss. More here.

Dashaun Phillips CB Tarleton State --- 5' 11'', 182 lbs. Another Div. II prospect. Didn't attend the combine but his pro day numbers would have been comparable to prospects at the combine. Excelled in 60-yard shuttle and three-cone drill. Very athletic corner.

Dontavis Sapp LB Tennessee --- 6' 3", 234 lbs. Dane Brugler says: Despite a lean frame, Sapp is tougher than he looks with rangy athleticism, smart angles and the pursuit speed that shows up on special teams coverage

Casey Kreiter LS Iowa --- A great long snapper. Read all bout him here.

Chris Boyd WR Vanderbilt --- 6' 3", 205 lbs. Was dismissed from team for involvement in a cover-up of a rape case (he was not involved in the original crime). All the details are here. Boyd was rising star at Vanderbilt before the legal issues. Some thought he was better than Jordan Matthews. Was predicted to go in the mid-to-late round of the draft.

Ben Malena RB Texas A&M --- 5' 9", 195 lbs. Good vision with a quick burst. Not a top-end speedster, but quick and runs low. May not be an every down back but a rotational guy, can catch passes with good special teams qualities. More here.

Ryan Smith S Auburn --- 6', 195 lbs. Had 68 tackles and three interceptions in 2013. Moved into the starting safety role after an injury to the previous starter.

Keith Smith ILB San Jose State --- 6' 1", 230 lbs. Had 159 tackles last year, the 2013 leader. Had back-to-back games with 20+ tackles.

Ronald Patrick OG South Carolina --- 6' 1", 308 lbs. Known as a reliable run blocker. Uses his hands well. Footwork struggles when in space, limited upside. More here.

Jerrod Pughsley OT Akron --- 6' 4", 305 lbs. Played both guard and tackle. Strong lineman, thick lower body. Directs defenders once he gets his hands on them. Balance is suspect and sometimes bends at the waist. More here.

Glasco Martin RB Baylor --- 6' 1", 220 lbs. Slowed by an ankle injury. Scored a lot of TDs for Baylor, good finisher. Probably more of a special teams player.

Evan Wilson TE Illinois --- 6' 6" , 253 lbs. Mainly a blocking tight end with only a small number of receptions. Big body, good blocker.

Marvin Robinson FS Ferris State --- 6' 5", 196 lbs. Was at Michigan but transferred after limited playing time.

Jocquel Skinner CB Bethel -- 6' 1", 182 lbs. Worked out at the Tennessee pro day, 4.49 40, 7.01 in the three-cone. 37 inch vertical.

Josh Aladenoye OT Illinois State --- 6' 5", 320 lbs. Big body. Transferred from Oklahoma. Powerful blocker in tight quarters. Better in the running game. Has problems in space with balance and technique. More here.

Joe Windsor DE Northern Illinois --- 6', 241 lbs. Had 8 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 2013.

Andre Cureton OG Cincinnati --- 6' 5", 311 lbs. Not a whole lot of scouting on him, but here's an interview with some video.

Caleb Lavey ILB Oklahoma State --- 6' 2", 235 lbs. Good defender against the run, natural instincts. Aggressive, hard worker. Average quickness, not great in coverage. More here.

Kolton Browning QB Louisiana Monroe --- 6' 1", 220 lbs. 2,179 passing yards, 23 touchdowns in 2013. Missed a couple of games due to injury. Also rushed 98 times (229 yards). Mobile and elusive, but arm strength and accuracy have been questioned. More here.
