OBJ and Amari Cooper on the same team?

Last season the Cowboys risked it all when they traded a first-round draft pick for Amari Cooper. The move saved their season, plus likely a lot of jobs, and they look to have one of the game’s best receivers on their team now. That’s a good get.

Receivers have been changing teams a lot as of lately. Obviously Cooper went from Oakland to Dallas, recently Antonio Brown went from Pittsburgh to Oakland, and just Tuesday night Odell Beckham Jr. went from New York to Cleveland. That’s a lot of quarterbacks feeling both sad and happy.

Speaking of OBJ’s departure from the Big Apple, it sure is nice that the Cowboys don’t have to face him twice a season anymore, but did you know that he wanted to play with them for all of their games? According to Yahoo Sports the Cowboys were among the teams he preferred to be traded to.


More on Odell Beckham Jr’s “preference” list of teams in a trade: He liked the idea of the #Cowboys (he’s close to Dak + facing the #Giants). Also, the #Broncos (he’s close to Von). But I was told that his unquestionable top choice was uniting with Jarvis Landry and the #Browns.

We’ve seen Beckham buddy up to Dak and at times Ezekiel Elliott, plus as mentioned the opportunity to take on his former team with America’s Team was surely fun to consider. Obviously though nothing can replicate reuniting with Jarvis Landry in Cleveland so good for OBJ that he ended up there.

More than anything, good for us. We no longer have to worry about him to the same degree.
