We pretty much know the Cowboys 2017 opponents, except for one game.
Let’s check in on the Dallas Cowboys opponents for 2017. Yes, there is a lot of Cowboys football still to be played this season, but we’ll gaze at the future for a bit. The NFL schedule follows a formula, so we pretty much know our opponents looking ahead. 14 out of the 16 are laid out far ahead of time, with two “wildcards” decided each season based on the record of the Cowboys and two teams from specified divisions.
In 2017, the Cowboys play their own brethren in the NFC East twice, per usual. They also play the NFC West and the AFC West. The NFC West isn’t a powerhouse, but the AFC West is home to the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos. If Denver finds a quarterback in the offseason, that’s three very tough opponents.
In addition, the Cowboys, winners of the NFC East, will play the winners of the NFC South and the NFC North. The South was won by the Falcons, and the North is coming down to the winner of the Week 17 game between the Packers and the Lions.
Here is the unofficial look at home and away opponents for the 2017 season.
HOME: NY Giants, Philadelphia, Washington, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City, San Diego, Green Bay/Detroit
AWAY: NY Giants, Philadelphia, Washington, Arizona, San Francisco, Denver, Oakland, Atlanta
We now return you to your regularly scheduled exultation over the 2016 Cowboys!
