Round 1
Titans shock the world and take Jalen Ramsey, Browns take Carson Wentz, and theChargers go with Joey Bosa. The Cowboys are sitting there at four when the phone rings...it's the Buccanneers. They offer picks 9+39 (1,860 points) for the fourth pick, a win of 60 points in the Cowboys' favor.

Dallas is not so convinced to move away from four for just another second rounder, they hang up. As the time is running out, with two minutes on the clock, Tampa calls back and offers 9+39 and 109 (1,936 points) to sweeten the deal. That would give the Cowboys a third pick in the fourth round. Cowboys accept and the Bucs snag Laremy Tunsil, the consensus best player in the draft.

Pick 9: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State

I think I would hang up the phone and select Tunsil. He is the best player in the draft. A lot of people have commented on that we need protection in case Romo goes down. Draft a QB would be nice; however, Jerry is Hoping that Romo can play 3 to 4 more years. So if you are adamant that your not going to take a QB at 4, then why pass on a player that can help provide some protection for Romo. (Protecting the investment in Romos salary cap) Imagine that OL and what it could do to control the clock and also provide protection for the defence.

Yes BUT you get to draft your bell cow, whom also protects Romo by picking up blitzes & running the ball, PLUS you get 2 extra picks. Spin one into an OL if needed. Obviously, I'm just playing along. :)

Always cracks me up when the media dreams up scenarios where all the other GMs in the NFL get vastly out-traded (value-wise) by Jerry.
In reality, Jerry is usually the one more willing to give more up. Not arguing right or wrong, just point out the facts.

Philly is setting at 8 and eying Elliott

I can see them wanting a replacement for Jason Peters and would have to wait until the 3rd round to get one should they pass one up at #8.
But if I was them I would take Elliot also .

We do okay with rounds 1-3. Anything below that is very rough. If we can get 1's and 2's I'm good, anything below that and it won't add up good for us.

I hope Philly takes Elliott at 8 instead of an OT.

I don't want Elliott in our division unless he is a Cowboy. This is the type of player that makes our defense look silly.

I am not even sure what this means. I am not sure what kinds of players make our defense look silly? Good ones?
