Getting off the ball ASAP is exactly where Randy Gregory's strength lies. I don't think there's any question but what quickness is and will remain Randy's "ace in the hole." Also, adding weight should help him to rid himself of the run blocks from opposing OTs. It's merely a continuation of the process that must be required to compete capably versus the professional caliber of offensive linemen. It's a definite step up in difficulty but he'll be fine.

I don’t know if it is fair to judge Weeden on the Arizona game (they had a great defense) but that is the way it is. I will say that no QB in NFL history could have had more practice time as a backup than Weeden. Romo missed all of spring, skipped some training camp practice, then did not practice on Wednesdays last year. So Weeden was as prepared as a backup could ever hope for.

Laufenberg is trippin'. We didn't trot Vaughn the Rookie out there to face the Cards. It was a veteran who had previous starts under his belt. There were dying deer laying on roadsides muttering, "Well, I was less lost than Weeden in those headlights, ohh..." I would really like to ask Babe why Weeden gets a break here. The guy looked pathetic against Arizona.
