Kellen Moore has been released from the team in order to bring up Blake Jarwin from the practice squad.

The Dallas Cowboys have decided to release Kellen Moore. This day was written when the Cowboys elected to make Cooper Rush active against the San Francisco 49ers this past week. The Cowboys have officially released Kellen Moore from the 53-man roster and have promoted tight end Blake Jarwin to the active roster.

Per a source, the Cowboys promoted Blake Jarwin from the practice squad because they didn't want to lose him. He was about to be poached.

It would make a lot of sense for the Cowboys to bring him back to the practice squad, he’s one of the only NFL players to be in the league since 2012 and have eligibility. Kellen Moore started the Washington game in 2015 and “famously threw for over 400 yards.” It is not yet known in what capacity Blake Jarwin will be used but the Cowboys thought highly enough of him to bring him to the main roster.

Knowing how Scott Linehan is very fond of Kellen Moore, expect him to be brought back to the practice squad in the coming days.
