Should Dallas throw up the X?

Throughout the long and rich history of the Dallas Cowboys, nobody has caught more touchdowns wearing their uniform than Dez Bryant. Needless to say he means a lot to the franchise.

Somehow time has flown by and we find ourselves about two years removed from the Cowboys parting ways with Bryant. A bit of the way into the 2018 season, Bryant joined the New Orleans Saints and unfortunately suffered an injury before ever seeing the field with them. He did not play in the NFL in 2019.

Dez has made it very well-known that he would like to play for the Dallas Cowboys as he tries to make it back into the NFL. The Cowboys have a recently re-signed Amari Cooper and an entering-his-contract year Michael Gallup as their top two options at wide receiver, but there is no question that they are in need of somebody to work the slot. Perhaps you think current day Dez Bryant can be that, perhaps you do not.

Ultimately, Dez is doing what he can to stay in shape and get a shot on somebody’s roster. He has been working out with Dak Prescott lately. Yes, Dak Prescott.

It’s interesting to note where people fall on whether they think Dez Bryant returning to the Cowboys is a good or not so good idea. With Cooper and Gallup firmly set at their spots there aren’t exactly a lot of targets to go around, but perhaps you think Dez can offer something.

For what it’s worth, 105.3 The Fan’s Bryan Broaddus noted that Dak himself seems to think that Dez has something worth having.

"I got a text from someone who said Dak is telling people that Dez looks good and should be on a team" - @BryanBroaddus bombshell!

This could just be Dak speaking up for his friend or it could be real. Time will tell.
