The NFC East as a whole is quite popular.

Shocker here, but people love the Dallas Cowboys.

This shows up in many ways, but one of the biggest, and certainly the most lucrative, is in sales. Dallas makes money. Everybody knows that.

One of the ways that the Cowboys prosper financially is through jersey sales. Over the years we’ve seen jerseys from Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, and Tony Romo lead the way in terms of popularity across the NFL, but they’re all gone now (winces).

The Cowboys do have two quite popular names in Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, though. According to Wednesday’s Football Jersey Report from Dick’s Sporting Goods, they are still right at the top in terms of total sales. The top 10:

  1. Saquon Barkley
  2. Carson Wentz
  3. Ezekiel Elliott
  4. Dak Prescott
  5. Von Miller
  6. Mitch Trubisky
  7. Bradley Chubb
  8. Sam Darnold
  9. Tom Brady
  10. Josh Allen

Typically rookie jerseys lead the way this time of year. Fans of respective teams are loading up on their new players, so it makes sense for Barkley, Chubb, Darnold, and Allen to be here given their high profiles and big markets (Buffalo is in New York after all, but I get it).

The only non-Cowboys NFL veterans on the list are Carson Wentz, Von Miller, and Tom Brady. These are all great players at their positions, but they also happen to be representatives of the last three Super Bowl winners. It makes sense for them to sell.

Dak and Zeke being on this list speaks to their individual high profiles and to the reach that the Cowboys brand has in general. If/when they get the same due that the other veterans on this list have, expect sales to skyrocket even further.
