Before you roll with your current lineup, make sure to check these up-to-the-minute updates.
Do you have your fantasy lineup all set? Before you hit submit, here are some last-minute updates for any late-breaking injuries and inactive players for Week 2.
BREAKING NEWS...
Who’s Out
Rob Gronkowski will not play this week against the Dolphins (hamstring). Martellus Bennett will continue to see more action, but he only caught three passes for 14 yards last week with Gronk out. With an ineffective Bennett, the extra targets could get distributed to the Patriots WRs.
Who’s In
Russell Wilson will play against the Rams, but he could be limited (ankle). The Rams have a strong defensive line and will be looking to redeem themselves after being shut out by the 49ers last week.
Arian Foster is good to go after dealing with a hamstring issue this week. He only had 38 yards on 13 carries last week against a strong Seahawks defense. Jay Ajayi will also be active after being held out last week. It is unclear how much he’ll be used, but there is some risk he could cut into Arian Foster’s workload. Neither Dolphins RB has any real fantasy appeal.
Jonathan Stewart (ankle) will play against the 49ers. He should be good for 15+ touches. Play him with confidence.
Devante Parker (hamstring) will make his season debut. The Dolphins have other WR options and Parker struggled this preseason so it might be wise to hold him out until he starts giving you a reason to play him.
Game time decision
DeMaryius Thomas, who is dealing with a hip injury, is a game time decision. Even if he plays, his effectiveness may be an issue so play him at your own risk. Emmanuel Sanders should be a good start this week as he could be more involved in the offense with Thomas ailing.
WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW...
Who’s Out
Chris Ivory is ruled out (illness) for the game against the Chargers. This means a lot of touches for T.J. Yeldon. The Chargers gave up the sixth most fantasy points to running backs in week one (27).
Jamaal Charles won’t play for the second straight week (knee). This makes Spencer Ware a top 10 fantasy play this week. While the Texans did a great job stopping the run last week, Ware is a beast in the passing game. He had 129 receiving yards last week on route to 25 fantasy points.
Zach Ertz has been ruled out (ribs) in his game against the Chicago Bears Monday Night. Those waiting to see if he’s a game-time decision should make other plans at their tight end position.
Who’s In
Larry Fitzgerald was listed as questionable, but he was a full participant in practice. After a 20 point debut to the season, Fitz needs to be in your lineup.
Good luck.
