we arent finding the dynamic players on defense. Hopefully Brown has changed that, but currently, nothing really dynamic. We prefer, Solid.
That should change then. We should go after TJ McDonald . I'm baffled that 99 percent of fans want Church back. When the season was on the line where was he at? Heath (the guy I've said was better than Church past two years) was making the plays.

I'd rather move on from all of them. I'd consider bringing back Carr if it means we won't waste an early pick on a CB. I'd rather see if we could bring back Claiborne for cheap. As far as church goes, I'd like to see us try to have two FS types with Jones and Heath as the starters. If we want a natural SS, I'd rather Wilcox. Church is what he is. Wilcox and Heath have potential.

T. McClain had a solid season but I'd rather we try to get another DT with pass rushing ability to pair with Collins, or see if we can have a solid starting DT duo of T. Crawford and Collins. We'd only need one true 1-tech in that situation and we've already committed to Thornton.

I think L. Collins could be a solid LG. I don't think we'd see any significant difference between him and Leary next year. And resigning Cooper would make me feel very confident in our depth. The issue would be RT. I'd like to give Green a chance but he hasn't proven he could stay healthy. But I'd be very upset if we spent another high pick on OL.

Oh really? You must not remember how brittle Sean Lee was before the last two seasons.

Absolutely I do. That is why I've said in several posts that if a stud LB falls to us we need to pull the trigger. We need to be proactive and not reactive. Mo is good depth, not good as a starter.....

We're all ready for a run now so I don't think you subtract anybody that can help you get there ie we need leary because that solidifies the interior of the line and gives you Collins to go out to right tackle in a pinch

As bad as this defensive line was it's hard to judge defensive backs and linebackers so anybody that shows promise I keep

Wide receivers can take a hike

I think stud DT is our first priority to me that's the guy sets the tone for the defensive line pushes the pocket back into the quarterbacks face and makes it difficult to see down the field
That causes quarterbacks to drop back further and brings your defensive ends into play.
So whether it's free agency or the draft DT is my first choice then it's a young right tackle so we can say bye to Freebird

We cannot afford Leary and to not expect him to get paid top dollar is ludicrous. We cannot afford to pay over a third of the cap on the OL is what it boils down to.

Carr I don't mind bringing back if the price is right. He is a consistent presence on a defense that needs more talent not less.

I like McClain but he seemed to fade as the season wore on and has an injury history. I like him back if the price is right.

I would rather keep Wilcox than Church. More upside while Church is on the downside. Quality player but low priority.

No, I'm saying that Collins is athletic enough to play RT. Paying Leary and moving Collins out is my choice. And yes, I know Leary will cost alot.

We're clearly not going to address the pass rush in any real way, so let's double down on Zeke and Dak.

Collins does not have quick feet and has a limited kickslide to be a starting RT in the NFL,this is why he is playing inside at G at the professional level.

Athleticism has nothing to do with the matter, you can not change his limitations, you play the player where he will have the best chance for success and go figure that is at the G position, where Dallas is playing the player.

I'm aware of Collins limitations. But again I say Free played T this year. Are you saying Free has quicker feet or a betree kick slide them Collins? If so we can disagree.

I just think Leary / Collins is >>>> Collins /Green, or whoever ends up at T when Green gets hurt.

Free is a RT, Collins is not and by your logic Zeke should play RT because he has quicker feet than Free at this point.

You can replace doug Free with an actual RT, not a G, in free agency, the draft or from within if possible.

They should target McClain and Church as well as possibly Carr. The former two are starters or backups able to start without much fall off. Carr should be considered because we need some stability at CB likely losing Claiborne. He'll need to sign a reasonable contract though. Church as well. I like McClain and he should get a good contract.

I've changed my mind on Leary. I've always liked the player and wanted to keep him but thinking it was too expensive to do so. Now, I think they should pay him as a LG starter and move Collins to RT to compete with Free and Green. Unlike others I'd still see what Free could bring to the table but I won't be surprised to see them part ways with him.

I would like to keep Leary, Church, Carr and Williams.

To me Leary turbocharged the OL in both 2014 and 2016.

Church is solid and a leader.

Again for the right price bring back Carr as turns up for every game and is solid which is more that can be said for any other CB.

Williams is a decent 2nd WR and keeping him would save us spending a high pick this year on a WR.

I like McClain but he's injured too often to give him big money, but for the right price I'd bring him back.

Same for Claiborne.

Id keep Wilcox over Church. He played well at SS when he started for Church. Younger, more talented and the light seem to come on

I'd resign Twill, Carr, Wilcox.

Mo is soft as heck. Has he ever played a full season?

Carr is a good #2 CB. With better S play, he had a good year this year. Plus, he's practically never hurt. The anti-Claiborne

Twill can be relied upon too. He misses some easy ones, but plays hard and shows up when it matters. I also think he's ready for a breakout--if Dak lets loose a little more.

Wilcox has talent. Makes plays. Occasionally misses tackles. But so does Church. And Church doesn't have the talent.

I know McClain had a decent year, but he's average. He played much better early in the season.

I say, re-sign Carr, Mo, Wilcox, and maybe Butler.

Only one of Carr or Mo.

Wilcox or Church. Only one.

Sign a vet WR like a Boldin and draft a speedster in the draft. Or sign Cordalle Patterson as your deep threat.

Sign Mario Addison for DE.

Draft the rest.

It is his kick out that he struggles with the most on the edge but you are correct, use him at G or get something for the player.

He struggles with his limited kickslide range and is better suited inside at G.

His kickslide looks fine to me particularly from a range standpoint. Would like to see more hustle on some snaps but he covers ground just fine.

the only guys I think about re-signing are T-Will(if cheaper than average #2WR money), Church and either Carr/Claiborne to a 1 year deal.

Then pretty much try to draft all of the above, but if I miss out on one or two of those spots I have a decent vet that can carry the spot for another year.
