Just keeping you up-to-date on the NFL playoffs.

Of course the Dallas Cowboys did not make the playoffs - again. But, strange as it sounds, they still hold the playoffs even if the Cowboys are not in it. Who knew? So, just in case you want to check in on that and feel that sufficient time has passed from the Cowboys soul-crushing loss on Sunday, here's a recap with schedule.

The NFC's two top teams who will have this weekend off are the Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers. On Saturday at 8 PM EST, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the New Orleans Saints on NBC. On Sunday at 4:30 PM EST, the Green Bay Packers will host the San Francisco 49ers on FOX.

In the AFC, the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots are on a bye. In the first playoff game on Saturday at 4:40 PM EST, the Indianapolis Colts host the Kansas City Chiefs on NBC and on Sunday at 1 PM EST, the Cincinnati Bengals host the San Diego Chargers on CBS.

Below is a playoff schedule graphic for your convenience. So who is your new favorite team for the playoff run? I'm going to throw my allegiance behind the Carolina Panthers. I like their underdog-to-powerhouse story over the 2013 season, they have a great defense and Cam Newton was my fantasy QB. How's that for solid logic in choosing a team?
