Here's a look at the Dallas Cowboys and NFC East power rankings heading into Week 6 of the 2013 NFL season. We've surveyed 23 power rankings below. Care to take a wager how many have the Cowboys moving up in their rankings?

Major Media Networks & Affiliates

Week 6 (previous rankings in parenthesis)

CBSSports (Kirwan): 9th (16th): "Even though they lost to Denver this week the Cowboys offense was impressive with Tony Romo throwing for 506 yards and five touchdowns."

Peter King: 11th (13th): "One of the craziest games in Cowboys history. In NFL history. Showed how great, and how maddening, Tony Romo can be in one game."

Foxsports: 12th (17th): "The Cowboys are under .500 after five games for the fourth consecutive season, but this season, their 2-3 record is good enough for first place in the division."

ESPN: 15th (18th): "Tony Romo has six interceptions during the past three seasons that have dropped Dallas' win probability by at least 20 percent. Matt Schaub and Eli Manning (seven) have the most."

CBSSports.com (Prisco): 16th (13th): "What has happened to that defense? Monte Kiffin sure has improved that side, hasn't he? "

NFL.com: 16th (18th). "It's time to make the switch to Kyle Orton. Tony Romo ruined yet another heroic performance from the Dallas defense with a shoddy 506 yards, five touchdowns and one pick. #chokeartist "

Blogs & Other Media

Shutdown Corner: 12th (14th): "DeMarcus Ware is a choker, can never be a championship pass rusher and he lost his team the Broncos game (trust me, it sounds just as illogical when you say the same thing about Tony Romo)."

Drafttek: 13th (16th). "Tony, Tony, Tony . . . how can you top off a career game with an interception thrown into triple coverage? 3 Questions: 1) Did Dallas really pay Brandon Carr $50 million? 2) Did Dallas really trade up to draft Morris Claiborne? and 3) Was David Arkin on the active roster?"

WEEI.com: 13th (16th): "It’s tough to fault any defense going up against Peyton Manning and the Broncos, but the Cowboys have allowed a staggering 81 points in their last two games. This defense has gone backward after the firing of Rob Ryan."

Newsday.com: 13th (18th). "Tony Romo does more than you could ask of one man ... until the very end. Another late interception dooms the Cowboys in an upset bid against Denver. Even so, the Cowboys get the moral victory, says Jerry Jones."

ProFootballTalk: 21st (21st): "Until there’s a "moral victory" tiebreaker, we don’t want to hear it."

SB Nation blogs

Mile High Report (Broncos):10th (15th). "Tony Romo was getting blasted for choking again late in the game against the Broncos, but if you watch that play he was hit just as he threw the ball, which caused it just to be oh so slightly off target. Danny Trevethan had to make a fantastic diving catch to seal a chance for victory. Romo is playing lights out this year and I just don't see how the Cowboys don't win that terrible division this year. This team hung tough with the best team in football and in spite of the loss earned a big bump in this week's power rankings."

Big Blue View (Giants): 13th (15th). " Even though they lost, the Cowboys put forth the most impressive performance of any NFC East squad vs. Denver."

SB Nation: 14th (18th): "I've stayed away from hot takes since Sunday. I just don't want to listen to the Tony Romo choker talk, because it's wrongheaded and just dumb. Romo played an incredible game, and there's no way the Cowboys would have been in it without his record-setting effort. If there's anything Dallas should be worried about after that game, it's a pass rush that generated just one hit on Peyton Manning."

Blogging The Boys (That's us): 16th (17th). "The Cowboys showed they could go head-to-head with the consensus No. 1 team, but lost the game in heartbreaking fashion. The pass defense is a major concern, but if your offense can hang 48 points on the best team in the league, you will win a lot more games than you'll lose."

Bleeding Green Nation (Eagles): 19th (18th). "The Cowboys almost knocked off Denver but didn't finish the job thanks to a late game Tony Romo interception. Dallas only falls down one spot."

Statistics, Computer & Vegas rankings

Sagarin NFL rankings: 11th (14th). These are rankings based on W/L record, points differential and schedule strength.

Oddsshark: 12th (14th). Oddsshark use a multitude of stats to establish an offensive and defensive power ranking, which they then adjust for the strength of schedule.
