A quick review of the latest power rankings, where they rank the Cowboys, and where they rank the rest of the NFC East.
The Cowboys currently lead the NFC East, hold the No. 2 seed in the NFC, are tied for the second-best record in the league (with six other teams), and are one of just three teams to have won their last four games.
But what does that mean for the power rankings this week?
Here's a summary of where the Cowboys are ranked heading into Week 6, and a little further down you can see how that compares to the rest of the NFC East.

Washington Post - No. 6 (6)
Tony Romo’s MRI exam Monday is said to have confirmed the Cowboys’ belief that his back is healing well enough to put him on course to be available soon. The franchise’s decision-makers, including owner Jerry Jones, continue to say the starting-QB job will be Romo’s when he’s healthy enough to play. But that’s relatively easy to say now. It will be much more difficult to actually make a move away from rookie Dak Prescott if Prescott continues to play this way and the Cowboys continue to win.
FOX Sports - No. 7 (8)
The Cowboys are surprising just about everyone this season, even owner Jerry Jones. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott are one of the best rookie duos in NFL history and have Dallas on a four-game winning streak. The Cowboys haven’t just emerged as the best team in the NFC East, but they’re serious threats in the conference.
ESPN - No. 7 (11)
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones says Tony Romo is still the Cowboys' No. 1 quarterback. We wonder whether coach Jason Garrett feels the same way. Dak Prescott trails only Tom Brady for most attempts to start a career without an interception, according to Elias Sports Bureau research.

The Dallas Cowboys also look like a team capable of playing with anybody after dominating the Cincinnati Bengals in every aspect. With Dak Prescott avoiding mistakes, the Cowboys have been able to get back to their identity: A team of bullies.
Ezekiel Elliott is running downhill behind a strong offensive line and opposing defenses just can’t get off the field against Dallas.

They head to Green Bay to face the Packers, their first big-time road game. We will find out a lot about Dak Prescott.

No place to move for the Cowboys despite the impressive win. It's a steady group north of this spot. The Seahawks were on a bye, while the Packers won again and are better on defense. Then you have the Steelers, who look unstoppable on offense. Dallas plays Green Bay on Sunday, Philly two weeks after that and Pittsburgh two weeks after that. Interesting stretch. While Ezekiel Elliott piles up the yards and Dak Prescott gets all the press, how about that secondary? Andy Dalton was under fire, but much of it was because his first read was blanketed.

This Dak Prescott vs. Tony Romo storyline will only get juicier the more they win.
Shutdown Corner - No. 9 (9)
I asked the question on Sunday and I’ll give my answer here: If I could choose only one between Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott, I’d pick Prescott. Nothing against Elliott, who is on his way to a historic rookie season. But you don’t give back a quarterback like Prescott, who looks like he could be a high-level starter for the next decade.

Steaming into Week 5, the Cowboys seem to be transitioning from the overperforming underdog to the dominant contender all spearheaded by first round draft pick… Morris Claiborne? His career plagued by injury and lackluster performance, Claiborne has had a Lazarus moment, awakening from the dead and issuing shut down performances each week. At this point, everyone is quite familiar with what Dak and Zeke will do on offense, but the key to a win versus Green Bay may very well lie in the hands of Mo.
Bleacher Report - No. 9 (14)
The Cowboys defense deserves recognition too. The coverage has improved each week. The front generated four sacks and regular push. It was an all-around solid effort by a group on the rise.
USA Today - No. 10 (15)
First team ever to have rookies pass for 1,000 yards (Dak Prescott) and rush for 500 (Ezekiel Elliott) in a season's first five games.
