Is it too early for Power Rankings? Sure. But so what?

The Cowboys haven't even had their first practice of rookie mini-camp, and we're already being offered power rankings left and right. In the last few days, many a pigskin pundit has released his version of the NFL power rankings when we haven't even fully digested the draft yet.

Be that as it may, if you've been on Blogging The Boys for a while, you know that we regularly tally the power rankings for the NFC East. And with draft just over, today is a good time look at what's out there in terms of power rankings and bring them all to one place. To set the baseline, so to speak.

Here's what the experts have come up with in terms of power rankings - without a single snap of organized football having been played yet.

Post-draft power rankings

4th - CBSSports: "Their Super Bowl chances may come down to character guys in Greg Hardy and second-round pick Randy Gregory. If both get on the field without issues, they will get after the passer late in the season."

4th - Bleacher Report: "Byron Jones and Randy Gregory headline a class full of defensive players with elite tools. The Cowboys did not add a running back, which means they are either confident in the Darren McFadden/Joseph Randle/Lance Dunbar platoon or are still feathering a nest for someone special."

6th: NFL.com: "Plenty of folks were disappointed with Dallas not drafting a running back. After hearing Stephen Jones speak on SiriusXM NFL Radio, I think the Cowboys felt that no running back after a certain point (like, late in Day 2) was going to beat out Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar anyway. The 'Boys carry three backs ... McFadden has had huge days in the NFL before. Randle averaged 6.7 yards per carry last year. And Dunbar is flat-out explosive -- he will be a third-down guy, for certain. So let's put a muzzle on the "Why didn't they replace DeMarco?" whining."

6th - ESPN: "The Cowboys rushed more than any other team last season, but didn't draft a RB to replace DeMarco Murray. That leaves Darren McFadden, who has one 16-game season in his career, as the lead back."

7th - Foxsports: "The Cowboys enter 2015 with more talent in the secondary and more pass rushers. If they don’t acquire Adrian Peterson, we will find out if DeMarco Murray was truly a product of his offensive line. The Cowboys were one of the best offenses in 2014 because they ran the ball to open up the pass."
